Please will you
It costs approximately £161 every day of the year, just to keep St George's open.
This excludes any major expenditure we may incur on repairs etc.
Where does this come from?
Through fundraising and personal giving 119.00
From wedding and funeral fees 12.00
From the magazine 5.00
From the diocese £149.00
We need to raise an additional £4,380 a year.
Our PCC, congregation and local community work tirelessy to raise money to support St George's through various events but we do need to urgently close this gap.
Every penny you give will help us to proclaim the gospel and continue the worship of God in this beautiful and ancient church.
Please will you be generous and help us to make ends meet? Please will you also consider gift aiding your donation?
If you are a standard income tax payer, for every £1 you give, the government will give us a further 25p. So if you donate £10, the government will pay us another £2.50. And it won't cost you a penny more. All you have to do is put your money in one of the printed yellow gift aid envelopes found on the pews in St George's and write on it your name and home address, which also confirms that you have paid UK tax.
