Christmas Tree Festival 2016

2016 Christmas Tree Festival

Fri 2nd, Sat 3rd and Sun 4th of December.

The week-end starts on the Friday evening.

On Saturday the exhibition opens at 10.00 and there will be seasonal stalls, a Tombola, a Grand Draw and refreshments which will be available all day until 5.00pm.

On Sunday the exhibition opens at 11:00 after the morning Eucharist and will close at 3:00pm when the family Christingle service starts.  Every child will be given a Christingle and refreshments will be available after the service.

Entrance is free but any donations will be gratefully accepted.

Last year's service was very well attended with many families joining in to make the ending of the festival such a success.

There will be over twenty-five Christmas trees  decorated by various societies, schools and clubs from the area.

We are also decorating a tree in support of 'Surviving Christmas' which is a local charity which supports vulnerable people over the Christmas period.  Everyone is being asked to bring some food, gifts or clothing and placing it underneath the tree.  Surviving Christmas helps by providing families with food vouchers, by giving a Christmas hamper to the hpousebound and elderly and by holding a three day 'Open house' to adults, the lonely and those without facilities to provide for themselves.

Do come and see the range of Christmas Trees exhibited, buy something from one of the stalls and enjoy some refreshments.
