Situated at the top of Brede Hill on the A28 and overlooking the River Brede, St. George's Church is easily accessible from Rye, Hastings and Battle being some 7 miles from each.
Battle gets its name from the Battle of Hastings which was fought between Harold the Saxon King and William the Conqueror in 1066. The battle was so significant it changed the course of English history.
