Sermons. We have no permanent Vicar and are fortunate that we can rely on visiting clergy. Each brings their own approach to our services which is refreshing. A selection of their sermons are shown below.
Jim and Barbara Hobbs have both retired but have been very active at St. George's during our interregnum.

David was a solicitor for 12 years before becoming a Vicar in Essex. He was one of the first group to achieve an LLM in canon law and retired in 2006 and moved Hastings in 2009. Married to Carole they have two sons and five grandchildren. He is currently Honorary curate at Christ Church in St. Leonards-on-Sea. His hobbies include classical music and modern jazz, watching sport and reading and doing jigsaws.
Before retiring to live in this part of the world, David was vicar of parishes in Wimbledon and then Battersea. Thinking of himself as a Midlander, he was delighted recently to discover that one branch of his family came from Sussex and that, for a couple of generations in the Victorian era, they lived in Brede. His great-great grandparents were married at St George’s in 1864. David now lives in Winchelsea with his husband, Howard. He is currently Mayor of Winchelsea.
