On 11th November 2018 we will be commemorating the cententary of the end of WW1.
At 09.30 we will be holding our usual Sunday Eucharist and this will be followed by our Remembrance Service at 10.45. This then followed by "Ringing Remembers" from midday where bell ringers across the UK and beyond will simultaneously ring out in union and support of all those that lost their lives in WW1 and in particulary the 1400 bell ringers that perished.
On this historical 11th November 2018, We will take part in a live broadcast on the "Emily Jeffrey" Sunday morning show on BBC Radio Sussex and Surrey as they will follow the progress of the "Ringing Remembers" bell ringing recruits. At 12 midday, refreshments will be provided by the St George's Bell Ringers as they ring out in the national campaign "Ringing Remembers" Please look at the "Ringing Remembers" tab for more details on the left for more details and come and join us and support our ringers and the fallen from WW1.
At at 18.45 please join us at the Brede Beacon as beacons are lit all across the UK to also mark the centenary of the end of WW1. Once again St George's Bell Ringers will ring out at 19.05 with bell towers across the UK.
The Christmas event will be our 2018 "Christmas Tree Festival" which is being held from Friday 30th November to Sunday 2nd December when there will be up to twenty christmas trees decorated by various organisations in the parish. On Friday 30th November, our Christmas Tree Festival Quiz is being held at the Parish Rooms. If you would like to register a team then please contact Julie McDonnell on 07587470678. Its £10 a person and includes a light supper and a drink.
